1999 - 2006 #1 Leading Halter Sire
Breeders Trust and All Time Leading Sire of Halter Point Earners

We are sad to report the loss of our beloved Awesome on May 5th, 2009.
Mighty Awesome was 17 years young and was enjoying the foaling and breeding season just prior to his death. He was diagnosed with liver cancer and passed after a valiant battle to survive. He was returned home and laid to rest where he could be near all that he loved. Thank you to everyone who helped make this great stallion a once in a lifetime sire - The All Time Leading Sire of Halter Point Earners.

Below are comments sent to us by fellow equine enthusiasts and breeders

Mr. and Mrs. Tittle,
Hello, I am Jordan Bassett and I own a 10 year old gelding named Awesome Impressive by your stud Mighty Awesome. I Barrel Race on him. My mom and I have won a lot on him including: The Senior Pro Rodeo World Champion Barrel Racer (Won by my mom), The America West Youth National Champion (Won by me) and this past summer I qualified to the National High School Finals Rodeo on him and won many buckles and saddles. He is beautiful, he looks just like his daddy! I just wanted to thank you for having such a wonderful stallion and tell you how lucky you are!!
P.S. look for me and him at the WRANGLER NATIONAL FINALS RODEO in two years!!!

Sincerely, Jordan Bassett

Dear Keith & Cherrye,

I felt that I must write to tell you about Mighty Awesome. I have bred competitive animals all my life (well for 48 years since I was 7) and I have never encountered an animal like him (male or female).

We have mated Mighty Awesome to elite quarter horse mares right through to old-fashioned Australian Paint mares. In all cases the foals are stunning. I have never seen a stallion produce such superb, predictable quality from ordinary to below-average mares.

He is correctly described as genetically prepotent for overall quality. This is a much-abused word (prepotent) but it clearly applies to Mighty Awesome. I cannot tell you how important your stallion is to our breeding programs both in Australia and the USA.

Thank you so much for co-operating with us in shipping his semen to Australia. This is a totally unsolicited testimonial - should you wish to show it to other horse breeders we would be delighted to stand by our recommendations. We also regard you as professional and decent people to deal with.

I hope that you are both well and that this letter brings you some pleasure.

Kind regards,

Don Burke

A Comment from Michelle Gorman from Australia:
I have just had the pleasure of seeing a recently imported colt by your sire, Mighty Awesome, and a filly foal via frozen semen also by Mighty at Mr Don Bourke's Stud Open Day. I have no doubt that Mighty will introduce to Australia a quality in Paint Horses that we are badly lacking. Thank-you!

A Comment from Noelle Pelham:
I have dreamed about owning a baby out of Mighty Awesome for years. I think someone above was listening to my wish and I was able to purchase a beautiful little filly from a very nice person. Together she and I won the Salt Creek Spring Series in yearling fillies. Wish us luck at this years Fort Worth Stock Show in youth halter mares.
